Is anyone of these systems best?

Unfortunately no one can tell (yet), as most of these systems have not been on an independent rolling road. Some clues have been revealed from our recent exhaust super-test, but there maybe another winning exhaust in those listed above. So largely you have to go on cost/ appearance/ sound to make your choice. Performance filter kits are thought to make more of a difference to the MGF's power out put. A rough guestimate would suggest that you may get a further 5 bhp (usually less) by adding an exhaust. More power can be gained by removing the catalytic converter... but the car WILL fail its MOT (removal of the cat results in a ten fold increase in CO emissions, easily enough to make the car illegal!)

The performance per pound quotant for performance exhausts is typically around the 0.007 bhp per pound sterling mark (airfilters are in the region of 0.08 to 0.30 bhp per pound). The value for money aspect may well be worth considering before handing over your hard earned cash.

So you pay you money, and you make your choice. Good luck!
